Dr Sabrina Saldanha has now been in Lane Cove for 15 years. She completed her medical degree at Monash University in Melbourne in 1983 and gained her Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Melbourne in 1987. Her special interest are reflected in the patient profile of this practice which is family oriented with lots of newborns!!! |

Dr Celine Holland has joined the practice in August 2006. She has completed her degrees at the Otago University, New Zealand in 1993. She worked for several years at Gosford Hospital and Sydney Children's Hospital completing a Diploma in Paediatrics in 1997. She has a special interest in paediatrics, women's health obstetrics and sexual health. |

Dr Asher Hiddlestone graduated from Melbourne University in 1997, has worked for many years in hospitals both here and in the UK, and been in general practice since 2004. Her special interests include women's and men's health, paediatrics, sexual and mental health. |

Dr Vanessa Ricketts joined the practice in January 2007. She has completed her degrees at the University of Sydney and worked at the Children's Hospital at Westmead for a year in 2004 and completed a Diploma of child Health. Her special interest includes women's health and paediatrics. |

Dr Anita Alexander graduated in England and joined the practice in July 2005. In England, as well as general practice, she worked part-time for the metro police examining victims of sexual assault. Her interests include women's health, paediatrics and psychiatry. |

Dr Caroline Bennett returns to the practice after 3 years of experiencing being a patient. she has decided doctors have more fun, and is very happy to be back at work. She has a special interest in medical education. |

Dr Sunny Misir moved to Australia in 1998and has been in full-time work in emergency Medicine. He has maintained interest in general practice and completed GP Fellowship in 2001. His special interests include paediatrics, both men's and women's health and sports medicine. |

Dr Lisa Hurrell joined the practice in April 2009. She has worked in general practice for 25years. Her special interests include womens health and medical education. |

Dr Nerida Holdaway joined the practice in August 2009. She graduated from University of Sydney in 2001 And has worked in general practice since 2005. Her interests include sexual health, Mental Health and military medicine. |

PATHOLOGY SERVICESOur pathology is collected on site between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm Monday to Friday, and 8:30 to midday on Saturday with no appointment necessary. |

REFERRALS, PRESCRIPTIONS & TEST RESULTSIn the interest of good medical care, the Doctor needs to see you for these. We are NOT PERMITTED by law to backdate medical certificates and referrals. Doctors in this practice are competent at handling all the common health problems. When necessary, they are able to draw an opinion from Specialists, and if need be, refer you for further investigation. You can discuss this openly with your doctor. |

APPOINTMENTSConsultation is by appointment. Urgent cases will be seen on the day. Please tell the receptionist if you consider your problem to be of an urgent nature. Home visits: If you wish your Doctor to make a home visit, please call the surgery first thing in the morning - this is for regular patients in emergencies. However you are not bulk-billed. Booking a Long Appointment: If you need an insurance medical , post natal check, removal of lesions, review of a complex health issue or counselling please book a longer appointment. If more than one person from your family wishes to see the doctor at the same time, please ensure a separate appointment is made for each family member. Telephoning your Doctor: Although most problems are best dealt with in consultation, a doctor will always be available during normal surgery hours for emergency advice. Our staff are experienced in helping you decide whether the matter requires an appointment or advice over the phone. |

REMINDER SYSTEMOur practice is committed to preventive care. Unless you notify us otherwise, we may issue you with a reminder notice offering you preventative health services appropriate to your care. Recently we have screened for bowel cancer, updated MMR vaccinations and performed heart checks and osteoporosis screening. Patient confidentiality is always maintained. In Autumn/Winter we provide free flu vaccines to those aged over 65 years, or with chronic illness. |

A MATTER OF TIMEDespite or best intentions, we sometimes run late. This is because someone has needed unexpected urgent attention or we might be dealing with a difficult problem.
